Phase 2: Combo Platter Eating
The second phase is a mix between pure Hunger Directed Eating and Donuts and Doritos. You’re listening to your body, but there is still a bit of an exaggerated pull toward items previously banned from your menu.
Phase 3: Pure Hunger Directed Eating
The third phase is pure Hunger Directed Eating, where between eighty to ninety-seven percent of the time you're eating purely what your body desires for fuel. This is an important point to note. Somehow we have the misguided notion that naturally thin eaters never eat when they aren’t hungry. Not so! In fact, it is really useful to study your naturally thin friends and identify when they do and don’t eat beyond hunger. When they do overeat, it is usually around rare foods like their Aunt Dianne’s ambrosia salad. Or at Thanksgiving, where most foods are rarely (if ever) consumed at any other time of the year, and it’s uncertain when they will have access to them again. So you’ll be comforted to know that when your naturally thin friends do overeat, it is from the very same cause, they are Gasping for foods that have been made situationally scarce.
